    This sounds like a great idea. We tend to pay some bills yearly because it is cheaper than paying them in installments and some bills we have to pay yearly such as car services etc. It is a great idea to start the year wit a bidget frecast and calculate when these expenses are likely to come so that you have the money ready when you need it.

    @Rachel - Yep, sinking funds work beautifully for annual bills! In fact, I think of some of my sinking funds as annual bills - like Christmas. It's the same idea.

    great post!! We have employed this idea into our budget as well. Honestly, not doing this caused my previous budgets to fail - I think it is vital to sustaining a budgeted life
