Congratulation Pete! You have a great blog going here and I'm sure it will grow exponentially!

I agree, your presentation does break in Firefox.

Can you try it again now, and let me know if it still breaks?

    thanks!

Have you already written a post on how you've managed to build so quickly...? Congrats -- that is really a fantastic achievement!
  • Money Matters · 1 year ago
I haven't written a post about that, but maybe i will in case people are interested. The quick rundown?

    1. post every day - on subjects I find interesing
    2. Promote through entrecard, stumbleupon, blogcatalog, mybloglog and other free ad services
    3. Comment on other users's blogs
    4. Participate in carnivals and festivals.

That's about all i've done so far!

Congrats, that is very quick growth for such a young blog. And I am surprised and flattered to have made your top referrers list :)

Congrats - that's a heck of a lot of progress in two months. I'd take half those numbers and I've been in business for longer!

BTW off topic, but your layout breaks in firefox. The sidebars are below the content instead of next to it.

thanks, i'm pretty happy with the numbers so far! Now of course I'm shooting for even bigger and better things..

Yeah, i know about the sidebar thing, to be honest its been that way since the beginning, and i haven't figured out how to fix it yet. I had forgotten about fixing it actually. Maybe that will go on my to do list this week.

Pete, I guess I can only speak for myself -- but I'd be interested in that post on how you got to 100! I've found a few posts out there on gaining readers, even specifically with respect to personal-finance blogs -- but they are fairly dated by now and the sites/communities you mention didn't exist! I'd also be curious as to whether your efforts to build traffic more generally were any different than your efforts to build subscriber base. Anyway, congrats again!
