I used the exact number of tiles that I needed with none left over. While trying to do something else, I broke one. That was about three months ago and I still haven't been able to find another one of the same type.

You do a nice job with the blog. I just added you you to my blog roll and plan to visit more often.

PS: I will keep your wife in my prayers.

Re: My "frugalist" and "dumbest" home improvement project ever

What a beautiful end product! So luckily i had plenty of help. I can't even imagine how long it would have taken if I had done it completely on my own.

Re: My "frugalist" and "dumbest" home improvement project ever

It's better now, thanks for your concern! :)

Re: My "frugalist" and "dumbest" home improvement project ever

Neat project and a good learning experience.

One thing that I always tell people to keep in mind is that for a project which is fairly labor-intensive (like this one), think about hiring someone to help - either a student or a day-laborer. It will reduce your "profit" but might make the project a lot easier.

Re: My "frugalist" and "dumbest" home improvement project ever

Looks great!
