My wife and I just experienced this! We had been frustrated that we were going to have an unexpected $500 expense in July, but when we just re-signed our apartment lease, they told us that they're giving us $500 off of our July rent for resigning! How incredible is that!!?! God is cool!

This is one of those things that one does not need to be a Christian to know!

I'm an ex-battered kid, and a Jew, and I have always felt that God does not toss more at us than we are able to handle, even when we don't know we can handle it.

And that belief enabled me to take what a lot of folks look at as a definite negative (being a battered kid), and turning it into a huge positive (which is that, even though unintended, my father gave me the greatest gift a parent could: he made me tough enough to survive in a world that is not always the kindest, nicest place)!

I would argue that God constantly gives us more than we can handle. The catch is there is nothing that God can't handle, so if we rely on God then he indeed never gives us more than we can handle with his help. ;)
